Annual herbs. The taproot is conical. Stem erect, 25-50 cm high, smooth, glabrous, slender. The petioles of the root leaves are 25 cm long and the petioles of the stem leaves are 1-10 cm long; the leaflets are membranous and deeply 3-lobed. The lobes are elliptic ovate, apex acute or obtuse, base broadly cuneate; the underside is covered with white powdery frost. Raceme terminal, with 10-15 flowers; petiole 5-15 mm long; bract at base, upper bract spoon obovate, entire or 3-lobed, gradually leafy downward; flowers purplish violet, 20-23 mm long; sepals 2, ovate, margin with shallow cuspidate, caducous; petals 4, winged on spine, base slightly healed, upper 1 oblique funnel-shaped, with long cylindrical spur, slightly bent down, with 1 yellow spur Color finger nectary; 1 spatulate below; 2 lateral, obovate, clawed; 2 stamens, 3 in each bundle; pistil linear, stigma flat, margin with 8 protuberances, persistent.
