Tougu Xianggen

[source] it is the root of Rhododendron yunnanensis. See "Touguxiang" for plant morphology.
[collection] collected from September to October, fresh or dried.
[herb] dry root, curved and branched, quite long, thick, up to 2 cm in diameter. The outer surface is also brown, the deep color of the cork is easy to peel off, the inner color is lighter; scattered fine roots, about 1 mm thick. It is hard and brittle, easy to break; the section is grayish yellow, the ray is obvious, and the essence is dense. The air is fragrant.

[prescription selection] ① treatment of rheumatoid arthritis pain: one or two root of Tougu Xianggen, five money of xiaoxueteng, one money of bailongxu and five money of Achyranthes bidentata. Make two Jin of wine. Take about one or two of them each, and wash them with the stem and leaf of Touguxiang, ginger and scallion. (Guiyang folk herbs)
