[plant morphology] Limonium grandiflorum
Herbs Biennial. The taproot is stout and dark brown. Stem erect, upper branched. Leaves alternate, entire, narrowly oblong or broadly lanceolate, 10-15 cm long and 2-7 cm wide, with coarse hairs on both sides; basal leaves with long stalks, cauline leaves without stalks or with short stalks. Raceme terminal or axillary; calyx deeply 5-lobed, enlarged when bearing fruit; flowers blue, sometimes white; corolla funnel-shaped or high pedunculate, throat with obvious scales; stamens 5-lobed, enclosed; ovary deeply 4-lobed. Nutlets 4, ovoid, 3-4 mm long, densely short uncinate.
Born on hillside, beach or grassland. Distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan, Shaanxi and other places.
