Epiphytic herbs. Rhizome short and transverse, densely covered with scales, scales ovate, acuminate or lanceolate. The leaf is near, fleshy, almost sessile; long linear, 30-50 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, smooth and glabrous, with joints at the base, and nodes connected with the rhizome; the upper midrib is concave, the reticular vein is concealed in the mesophyll, and there is a small longitudinal groove with sporangium on both sides of the midrib below. The sporangia are long linear and without sporangia cover. The spore stage is from June to October.

It grows on trees. It is distributed in Zhejiang, Hubei, Guangdong and southwest China.
