[source] it is the root and leaf of Cinnamomum narrow leaf.
[plant morphology] Yinxiang narrow leaf
Arbor, up to 10 meters high, fragrant. The branches are brown. Leaves alternate or nearly opposite, slightly leathery, lanceolate, 6.5-7.5 cm in length and 1.3-2.3 cm in width, distinctly three veined, entire. Panicle terminal, flowers small, white green. Berry with cup-shaped calyx receptacle.
Born in the mountain forest. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei and Sichuan.
[collection] all year round. Wash and slice roots, dry or fresh.
[flavor] pungent, warm.
[function indications] it can relax muscles and activate collaterals, disperse cold and relieve pain. Treatment of rheumatism, falls, fractures.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: root: decoction, 2-3 yuan; or soaking in wine. External use: leaf: fried and washed with water or mashed with fine wine.
