Evergreen epiphytic shrubs, 20-50 cm high. The root is enlarged like a radish, with a length of 50-60 cm and a diameter of 10 cm. Single leaf, often 4-5 leaves, dense, nearly whorled, lanceolate to oblong lanceolate, 4-10 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, smooth on both sides, glabrous, green above, pale below. Flowers campanulate, bright red, 4-5 cm long, often 3-4 flowers on the stem. Berries globose.

Epiphytic in the moist miscellaneous wood forest. It is distributed in Southwest China.

Cold and astringent.
