[plant morphology] purple golden cow
Erect shrub, 0.5-2.5m high. There is creeping rhizome, the stem is slightly stout, gradually bald and clean, not branched except for flower branches. Leaves alternate; elliptic lanceolate or ovate, rarely oblanceolate, 7-15 cm long, 2.5-4 cm wide, apex acuminate or acuminate, base cuneate, entire or slightly wavy, or concave at glandular, leathery, setose or pilose on both sides, especially midrib. Compound umbel, hairy, on top of lateral branches; petiole 0.5-1 cm long; fragrant flowers, petals pink or white, 5-7 mm long, somewhat glandular; stamens slightly longer than petals; ovary glabrous or pubescent near apex. Fruit globose, 5-7 mm long, coarsely or sparsely hairy, glandular punctate, persistent calyx about half the length of fruit. The flowering period is summer and moon.
It is distributed in southern China and Sichuan.
