Trees, up to 17 m high. The leaf is papery, linear, long elliptic, 14-16 cm long and 2-3 cm wide, with acuminate base and apex, pubescent beside veins, 17 lateral veins, concave above and convex below; petiole about 0.7 cm long. Female flowers 1 or 2, axillary, with short stalks, surrounded by round bracts; staminodes 9, the first and second round are clavate, base hairy, the third round is shorter, apex obtuse, base with 2 glands; ovary ovate; style curved, stigma capitate. Berries ovate, 1 cm long, with large cup-shaped perianth persistent.
It is distributed in Western Sichuan.
