[plant morphology] longevity bamboo, also known as Baoduo grass.

Perennial herbs. Rhizome long and fat white, sometimes creeping. Stem erect, 30-60 cm high. It's slightly tilted up. Leaves oblong to broadly lanceolate, apex acuminate, base rounded or slightly pointed, 4-8 cm long and 1.3-4.7 cm wide; petioles very short. Inflorescence: 1-3 flowers, terminal, pendulous, pedicel 1.5-3 cm long; flowers white, green above; perianth 6, apex acute, sometimes convex, base gradually narrow, lower half edge and inner surface with short hairs; stamen 6, filaments glabrous, 2 cm long, anther width linear; pistil 1, ovary elliptic, 3-locular, style glabrous, upper 3-lobed. Berry black, globose, ca. 6 mm in diam. The flowering period is March.

It grows in the shade under the forest in the low mountain area. It is distributed in Guizhou, Sichuan and other places.
