Dahurian bugbane rhizome
[alias] Cimicifuga asiatica and Kagan Tabanus.
The rhizome of cimicifugaceae is derived from the rhizome of cimicifugaceae.
[plant morphology] perennial herb. Stem 1 m high, densely pilose. The lower cauline leaves are compound, with long petioles; each petiole has obvious petioles; the terminal leaflets are rhombic in width, 5-10cm, 3.5-9cm in width, 3-lobed, sessile or short petioles when lateral; the margin is double serrate, and both sides are pilose. Flowers unisexual, arranged in panicles; staminodes 2-cleft; ovary covered with gray tomentose. The flowering period is July to August and the fruiting period is September.
It grows in the forest edge shrub, hillside sparse forest or grassland. It is mainly produced in Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia.

[character] rhizome is similar to Cimicifuga trifoliata, but it has many branches, 1-1.5cm in diameter, dense stem base, and green section. It tastes slightly bitter.
[chemical constituents] it contains β - sitosterol, cimigemol, cimigenoside, dahurinol, isodahurinol, dehydroxydahurinol, 25-0-methylisocohurinol, isoferulic acid, visnagin, visamminol and neodentamol (norvisnagin) et al.
It is the same as Cimicifuga.
