Subshrub like herbs, 30-50 cm high. With spindle tuberous roots. Stem erect, pubescent when young. Stipules ovate lanceolate, 5-8 mm long, sparsely hairy, longitudinally veined; leaflets 3, subcleathery, oblong, terminal; leaflets 7-9 cm long or more, 2-5.5 cm wide, both ends slightly obtuse or apex acute, above bare, below covered with close silver gray silky hairs; stipules linear conic. Flowers axillary, paired or very short racemes; bracts ovate, bracteoles ovate oblong, all covered with long hairs and lines; calyx 15-18 mm long, covered with long hairs and powdery hairs, with many longitudinal veins, 5-lobed, lobes lanceolate, long pointed, half of the whole calyx; corolla white or light yellow, about 3 cm long, flagellum covered with coarse hairs. Pods with short stalks, linear rectangular round, 4-7 cm long, bald, beaked, slightly flat. It blooms in summer.
