[source] it is the root of Cinnamomum sinense. For plant morphology, please refer to "Piper nigrum" section.
[collection] from September to October, the roots were dug, washed and dried.
[flavor] pungent, warm.
Functions and indications: dispelling wind and dampness, dispersing blood stasis and dredging collaterals. It can cure rheumatism, numbness, muscle and bone pain, epigastric cold pain and traumatic injury.
Sichuan Traditional Chinese medicine annals: "it is used to treat injuries caused by falls and injuries and pain in waist and knee. "
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 0.5-1 Liang; or soaking in wine.
[selection] ① for rheumatic paralysis: 1-2 liang of Piper nigrum root, 1 pig's foot (7 inches), 4 liang of yellow rice wine, fried with water. Take it before meals, twice a day. (Fujian folk herbal medicine)
