Annual herb, 30-150 cm high, with brown glandular hairs and white pubescence. Roots erect, slender terete, reddish brown. Leaves alternate, 7-26 cm long, 4-16 cm wide, oblong oblanceolate, tapering to base, 3-pinnate; lobules lanceolate, pointed, about 1 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, sparsely puberulent on both sides; petioles 10 cm long, glandular and pubescent. Panicle terminal, 40 cm long; flowers small, yellow, many; sepals ovate, short acuminate, 4-5 mm long; petals pale yellow, obovate, slightly shorter than sepals, apex undulate. The capsule does not crack and the petals do not roll up when heated. Seeds nearly reniform.
It grows in dry places such as roadside, hillside and ridge. Distributed in Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai, Tibet and other places.
