[plant morphology] saijingang
Perennial grass, climbing vines. Tuber oblate, basin shaped. Stem slender, angulate, tendrils opposite leaves. Leaves alternate, petiolate; leaf blade interdigitate, leaflets 7-9, lanceolate, middle leaflet largest, 6-10 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, margin serrate. The flowers are small, yellowish green, unisexual, allotype, arranged in panicles, axillary; the calyx of the male flower is 5-cleft; the Corolla is 5-cleft, and the stamen is 5-separated; the female flower is small, the style is very short, and the stigma is 2-cleft. Capsule elliptic, apex truncate, 3-valved. Seeds numerous, narrowly ovate, compressed. The flowering period is from May to July.
It grows on hillside and bamboo forest. It is distributed in Southwest China.

There are no side effects in the course of treatment, but there will be nausea and diarrhea when taking more. It is not suitable for cold diseases.
