[plant morphology] Gentiana scabra
Perennial creeping herbs. The stem is slender. Leaves opposite, papery, ovate lanceolate, 4-7 cm long, 1.2-2.3 cm wide, apex acuminate, base rounded, entire, dark green; 3 main veins distinct. Flowers axillary; calyx tubular 5-lobed, lobes triangular lanceolate; corolla campanulate, 5-lobed, lilac, with accessory lobes between lobes. Berry oblong, 1.5 cm long, reddish purple, long stalked, beyond persistent calyx. It blooms in autumn.
Living in the wild, the roadside shade wetland. It is distributed in Guizhou, Taiwan and other places.

Functions and indications: clearing heat, strengthening spleen, clearing lung and relieving cough. Treatment of jaundice, wind heat, cough, rheumatism, ascariasis.

② Cure wind heat cough: fresh herring gall grass 1 to 2 liang, stew pork to eat.
③ Cure rheumatism: black carp gall grass root five Liang, soak wine clothes; also can use rattan fried water fumigation.
④ Drive roundworm: black carp gall five money, jade bamboo three money, rice one. Cook the porridge and finish it in two parts.
