Trees, 5-10m high, glabrous or nearly glabrous. Leaves alternate, ovate to oblong ovate, 6-12 cm long and 3-6 cm wide, apex obtuse, apex rounded, entire or nearly entire; petiole 2-3 cm long. Corymb axillary or at the top of lateral branches, 5-10 cm long; flowers white or yellowish white, about 5 mm long; corolla funnel-shaped; tube not longer than calyx, lobes reflexive, throat hairy with stamens, stamens with lobes the same number; style 2-lobed. Drupe ovate, 10-15 mm long; persistent calyx broadly funnel-shaped. The flowering period is from February to April.

It is also cultivated in the wild. It is distributed in the south of China.

[function indications] Xingqi Zhitong. It can cure heart and stomach qi pain.

[optional formula] to treat heart and stomach qi pain: the dried roots of green Tung and emerald wood are fried for five to one or two yuan, or the wine and water are half, and the lean meat is fried together.
