Herbs annual, up to 1.8 m tall. Stem erect, whole plant coarsely hairy. Leaves alternate; broadly lanceolate, 8-14 cm long, 0.8-2 cm wide, margin dentate, both surfaces densely hirsute; sessile. Head terminal, arranged into irregular corymbs; involucral bracts several layers; flowers yellow, all ligulate. Achene has edge, on have small thorn, have short beak, coronal hair thorn is hairy.
Born on hillsides, ditches and roadsides. Distributed in Tibet, Yunnan and other places.
[collection] harvest from July to September and dry in the sun.
