[source] it is the root bark of pseudochailongshu, a plant of evodiaceae.
[plant morphology] Pittosporum fortunei
Shrubs, twigs hairy, later smooth. The leaf blade is oblong, 6-11 cm long, 1.5-3.2 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire, smooth above or sparsely hirsute on midvein, sparsely hirsute on lateral vein below, with short stalk. Cyme terminal, with many flowers, with short peduncle; sepals 5-toothed, outside sparsely hirsute; petals 5-piece, base united, pale yellow, outside hirsute, inside pilose; odor; ovary densely hirsute. Drupe elliptic, apex obtuse.
Born on earth slope. Distributed in Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and other places.

Warm in nature and pungent in taste.
Functions and indications: dispelling wind and removing dampness, regulating qi and dispersing cold.
[selection] 1. Treat edema; gonghuangzhuzi, zhereergen and kusuangguo are five yuan each. Simmer water clothes.
② Treatment of pediatric hernia: gonghuang Zhuzi Sanqian. Simmer water clothes.
③ Treatment of joint pain: appropriate amount of gonghuang beads. Simmer water to wash the affected area.
