[plant morphology] six edged Chrysanthemum
Perennial stout erect herbs. Many branches, densely covered with pale yellow short glandular hairs, stems and branches winged. Leaves alternate, oblong, 2.5-10 cm long, undivided, apex acuminate, margin denticulate, base extending down to stem. Inflorescence terminal or axillary, arranged into a rectangular round or spire shaped panicle with leaves; flowers purple, with short stalks; involucre bell shaped, involucre multilayer; receptacle flat, bare; all tubular flowers; peripheral multi row female flowers, developed, linear; central bisexual flowers, multi row, developed, apex 5-lobed. Achene, hairy; corolla white. The flowering period is from late autumn to early spring of the next year.
Born in the wilderness. It is distributed in the East, South and southwest of China.

[herbal medicine] it is a dry whole grass.
