Rat sting

Evergreen shrubs or trees, up to 10 meters high. Young branches sparsely pubescent. Leaves alternate, dense, hard leathery, oblong ovate or rhomboid ovate, 2-4 cm long, with 2-3 large spines on each side and 1-2 small spines on each side; nearly sessile. Flowers axillary, clustered; pale yellow, sessile. Berry shaped drupe, globose ovate, 6-8 mm in diameter, red, clustered, nearly sessile; 4 seeds.

It grows in the Bush on the hillside. It is distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
