Leaf clusters, petiole 10-30 cm long, except by brown large scales, up to the leaf axis and below the feather axis, densely covered with narrow lanceolate and inverted subulate scales; leaf blade lanceolate or broad lanceolate, thick papery, 25-50 cm long, 8-15 cm wide, 2-pinnate; middle pinnate 4-7 cm long, falcate lanceolate; small pinnate falcate triangular or oblique rhombic, above the base Lateral broad and triangular convex, lower cuneate, margin undivided, teeth with awn spines; veins pinnately branched. Sporangia are small, at the top of branching veins; sporangia are shield shaped, caducous.
