[plant morphology] Anoectochilus inversus
Perennial herbs, 30-50 cm high. The root is stout, fleshy, and the skin is dark brown. Stem erect, much branched, cylindrical, purplish brown or yellowish brown, pilose. Leaves alternate or opposite, ovate or elliptic, apex acute or obtuse, base gradually narrow or obtuse, entire, upper green, lower gray green, both sides pilose, veins prominent; petiole very short; Stipule sheath membranous. Compound spikes terminal or axillary; flowers small, reddish brown.
It is distributed in Tibet and other places.

[function indications] astringent bowel and dysentery. Treatment of acute and chronic dysentery, enteritis.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan.
