Kudzu root

[plant morphology] kudzu, also known as kudzu.
Liana. The roots are thick. Stem several meters long, covered with sparse yellow hirsute. Three compound leaves alternate, long petiole; apex lobule broad elliptic or nearly round, apex short acuminate, base round or nearly broad cuneate, both sides covered with white long bristles; both sides of leaflets obliquely broad ovate; stipules peltate, elliptic, stipules narrowly lanceolate. Raceme axillary, 7-20 cm long, flowers numerous; calyx with 4 teeth, calyx teeth lanceolate, all densely covered with yellow short bristles; flowers butterfly shaped, purple red. Pods banded, densely yellow hirsute. The flowering period is from July to August. Results began in early August.
On grass slopes or shrubs. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan.

Functions and indications: clearing away heat, penetrating rash, generating fluid and relieving thirst.
[prescription selection] 1. It's hard to cure measles: kudzu root and Solidago each cost five yuan. Take it in boiling water.
② Treatment of hematemesis: kudzu root, see Xuefei, wupaogen, Kushen root each five money to a business. Simmer water clothes.
③ Treatment of diabetes: kudzu root two liang, rouge root one or two. Simmer water clothes.
④ Treatment of aphthous ulcer: fresh kudzu root (charcoal burning and grinding) and alum powder 5 points each. Mix well and apply to the affected part of the mouth.
