Trees, 10-30 m high. The bark is smooth, pale white or reddish gray, flaky off, very smooth and white after peeling. The leaves are lemon flavored; the abnormal leaves are thick, sometimes 30 cm long, 7.5 cm wide, and pale below; the leaves of young branches are covered with brownish red glandular hairs, and the petioles are shield shaped, 4-5 mm away from the leaf base; the normal leaves are alternate, ovate lanceolate or narrowly lanceolate, 10-20 cm long, slightly falcate. Umbelliform inflorescence, 3-5 flowers, several arranged into axillary or terminal panicles; flower diameter 1.5-2 cm; calyx tube cup-shaped, diameter 6-8 mm; cap hemispherical, shorter than calyx tube, 2 layers, outer layer slightly thick, with small convex tip, inner layer thin and smooth, rich in luster; stamens more, 8-10 mm long.
