[plant morphology] Eupatorium adenophorum
Subshrub. Stem creeping, reddish brown, rooting at nodes, upper part inclined upward. Leaves opposite, ovate, oblong, 5-9 cm long, 2-3.5 cm wide, apex acuminate or caudate, base rounded, entire. Green above, reddish below; petiole 5-20 mm long. Dichotomous branched cymes with flowers on branches; calyx 5-lobed, persistent; corolla funnel-shaped, lobes 5; stamens 5; disk fleshy, ovary 2-locular. Capsule 2-lobed.
Born in the shady and wet place on the hillside. It is distributed in Guizhou and other places.

Functions and indications: promoting blood circulation and regulating menstruation, treating traumatic injuries.
[prescription selection] ① treatment of deficiency of Qi and blood, irregular menstruation: Eupatorium adenophorum, Caulis Spatholobi, and five coins each. Take fried water and wine.
② Treatment of tuberculosis and cough: three liang of Isatis indigotica. Wine making clothes.
③ Treatment of fractures, falls: rock Eupatorium, big jiulongpan (Baodan), small jiulongpan (guanyincao), yang'erfeng (earth) the same amount. Add wine to the wound; add five buckwheat root and five buckwheat root to the above medicine, and fry wine three times a day.
