[plant morphology] thrush
Annual herb, 10-60 cm high. Leaf sheath glabrous or sparsely pilose at sheath mouth; ligule degenerated into a ring of cilia; leaf blade narrowly linear, 3-30 cm long, 2-4 mm wide, rough above. The panicle is about 1 / 3 of the plant, with long hairs in the axils; the spikelets are dark green or purplish black after maturity, 2-7mm long; the glume apex is blunt or the second glume is slightly pointed, the first glume is 0.5-0.8mm long, often without veins, the second glume is 1-1.2mm long, with 1 vein; the lateral veins of lemma are not obvious, and the second lemma is 1.5-2mm long. Palea arcuate, slightly short, two ridges rough to ciliate. Caryopsis oblong, 0.6-1 mm long. The flowering and fruiting period is from August to November.
Most of them live in barren fields. It is distributed in Northeast, North China, East China and South China.
