Annual climbing herb, whole plant pale green, covered with soft hairs; tendrils branched. The leaf blade is heart-shaped or kidney shaped, about 10-40 cm in length and width, slightly angular or 3-lobed, apex obtuse, margin short toothed, Jilang heart-shaped, with long petiole and 2 glandular teeth at the top. Flowers monoecious, solitary in axils; male petiole longer than petiole, female petiole shorter; calyx funnel-shaped, 5-lobed, teeth narrowly triangular, pilose; petals 5, white, slightly rounded.
