[synonyms] Qingteng, jushengmiao (Ben Jing), man, mengshen (Wu Pu Ben Cao), flax Miao (Shouqin endowment new book).

[source] it is the leaf of the plant of flax family. For plant morphology, please refer to "heizhima".

[chemical constituents] the dried leaves contain 0.3% of lipomatoside.

[pharmacological action] the leaves contain colloid, which can be added into water to form mucilage. It can be used as beverage for patients with diarrhea and dysentery to relieve irritation.

Sweet and cold.

[function indications] it is used to treat wind cold dampness arthralgia, collapse, hematemesis and pudendal dampness itching.
