Perennial herb, 10-40 cm high, covered with gray white villous and glandular hairs. The rhizome is thick and fleshy. They are massive, cylindrical or spindle shaped. It has been observed that Rehmannia glutinosa has anti-inflammatory effect, and it is effective for some allergic diseases such as skin diseases and bronchial asthma, and can improve the general situation; a few cases have slight edema after taking medicine, which is similar to adrenocortical hormone. The effect of Rehmannia glutinosa can be maintained for a long time after drug withdrawal, and there is no obvious rebound phenomenon in each effective case
