[plant morphology] Pterocarya stenoptera, also known as cupboard willow (Guo Pu's note in Erya), Pterocarya stenoptera (Tang Ben Cao), birch willow, ghost willow (Qunfang PU), Maliu (Cao Mu Bian Fang), Xima willow, big leaf willow, Sophora japonica, beech, Populus stenoptera, swallow tree, willow silk, embedded maple, Pingyang willow, centipede willow, stinky willow, Xikou tree, goushu, beech and Yuanbao tree.
Deciduous trees, up to 18 meters high. The bark is reddish brown and smooth when young, and black gray when old; the branches have long soft hairs. Leaves alternate; odd pinnate compound, 20-30 cm long; leaflets 11-25, but apical leaflets often absent; rachis narrowly winged and short hairy; leaflets elliptic to oblong, 4-10 cm long and 2-3 cm wide, apex pointed or obtuse, base oblique, margin denticulate, upper green and smooth, lower main vein and axil hairy. Flowers yellow green, monoecious, catkin; male inflorescence axillary, several in a cluster, on the old branch; perianth bracteate, apex split into 1-4 pieces; stamens 6-8; female inflorescence on the top of the current branch, style single, stigma 2-lobed, 1-locular in the ovary, with 1 ovule. Nut, bracteoles enlarged on both sides at maturity, wings long round or slightly narrow, inflorescence drooping, about 30 cm long, exocarp thin, endocarp hard. The flowering period is May.

[clinical application] treating burn
Take 2 jin of maple poplar bark, 0.5 Jin of Sanguisorba officinalis root and 0.5 Jin of Sapium sebiferum root bark, add appropriate amount of water, fry to 500ml, and filter.
