[plant morphology] powdery vine, also known as sweet potato vine, white faced chicken and false grape.
Grassy vines, several meters long, glabrous or powdery when young. Young stem slightly fleshy, green, obtuse quadrangular. Single leaf alternate, heart-shaped ovate, 5-10 cm long, often 3-lobed, apex acuminate, margin with sparse, sharp serrate; long petiole; axils with unbranched tendrils. Cymes opposite leaves, petiolate, corymbose; pedicels longer than flowers; flowers small, pale green; calyx very small, truncate; petals thick, ovate triangular, ca. 2 mm long; stamens 4, opposite petals; disk 4-lobed, ovary 2-locular, style subulate. Berry obovate, about 6 mm long, with 1 seed. It blooms in autumn.
It is distributed in the south of China.

[clinical application] for stillbirth induction
Take 1 node of fresh powdery vine (about 4-5 nodes away from the root), about 8-10 cm long, about 1-1.5 cm in diameter, cut off the green peel, one end blunt round, the other end tied with silk thread, high pressure disinfection, application within 12 hours. After routine vaginal and cervical disinfection, insert the blunt round end into the cervix slowly, pay attention not to touch the vaginal wall, leave 1.5-2 cm at the outer mouth of the cervix, and the thread ends hang in the vagina, and then plug the sterile gauze in the vagina and the posterior fornix to prevent slipping. Generally, change the dressing once every 24-48 hours until the stillbirth is discharged. 37 cases were observed. 36 cases of stillbirth were delivered naturally and the placenta was also delivered afterwards. The other one was stripped by hand. The delivery time of stillbirth is the fastest 3 hours, the slowest 168 hours, mostly within 12-48 hours. The delivery time of placenta was within 30 minutes after stillbirth. No side effects, chills, fever and postpartum hemorrhage were found.
