Flowers small white, unisexual, terminal panicle; male calyx cup-shaped, 4-toothed; petals 4, lanceolate spoon shaped; female flowers apetalous, disk annular; 2 leaflike bracts, white. Fruit compressed, not dehiscent, inserted in middle of pterygoid bracts. 1 seed, flowering in autumn.
