Climbing vines, 15-20 m long, with milky sap. Branchlets cylindrical, yellow tomentose when young. Single leaf, opposite, papery, ovate elliptic to obovate, 6-15 cm long, 5-13 cm wide, apex acute, base rounded, entire, glabrous above, densely covered with yellow tomentose below, lateral veins 8-12 pairs; petiole short, yellow tomentose. Cyme terminal, flowers white or light red, corolla nearly funnel-shaped, throat with 5 long soft hair band. Follicles bifurcate, cylindrical, 16-20 cm long, 1-1.5 cm in diameter, hairy outside. Seeds flat, one end with long filamentous hair. It blooms at the end of spring.
Born on hillside, forest edge, valley and other sunny places. It is distributed in the south of Yunnan.
