[plant morphology] Limonium
Perennial herbs. The root is fleshy and thick. The stem is single, 20-40 cm high, and the lower part is red. The root leaves are rosette shaped, spoon shaped, 3-5 cm long and 1.3-1.7 cm wide. The apex is obtuse, with a cusp. The base gradually narrows into a winged stalk. The base and veins are red and glabrous. Panicle terminal, multiple bifurcated branches, branches with 2 bracts, lanceolate, light brown: lateral flowers, several dense into panicles, each flower with oval bracts; calyx white, funnel-shaped, margin 5-lobed, folded; petal 5, light yellow; stamen 5, at the base of corolla; style 5, separated. The fruit is 5-ribbed and enclosed in the calyx.
Born on the seashore. It is distributed all over the coast of China.
