Teng Yin
Teng Yin? He was an important Minister of the state of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period and was born in Ju county of Beihai county (now Changle County, Shandong Province).
Teng Yin was a good-looking man with integrity when he was young. Later he married a princess. Sun Quan was called the queen, and Teng Yin was granted the capital of tinghou. Later, he successively served as Tai Shou of Danyang, Tai Shou of Wujun, and Tai Shou of Kuaiji. After Sun Liang succeeded to the throne, he became Taichang and Wei generals. After Zhuge Ke was killed, the officials elected Teng Yin as the Si Tu, but he was obstructed by the powerful Minister Sun Jun's clique. Teng Yin also intended to avoid suspicion, and finally only became the Duke of Jin and Gaomi.
After Sun Jun's death, his cousin Sun Yi was in power. Lu Zheng, Teng Yin's brother-in-law and Hussars general, contacted the generals in the front line of the Northern Expedition and elected Teng Yin as prime minister, hoping to divide sun's power, but it was not successful. Teng Yin was changed to be a big Sima to guard Wuchang. Soon after, Teng Yin and LV Ju conspired to overthrow Sun Yi. They were killed because of the leakage of the plan and were exterminated. After Sun Yi was killed, sun Xiu, the emperor of Jing, was Teng Yinping.
Life of the characters
It's a long time ago
After Teng Yin's uncle Teng Dan and his father Teng Zhou went south to the south of the Yangtze River, they attached themselves to Liu you, a family friend and Yangzhou governor. Later, they became officials of Sun Quan, and Teng Dun went to yousima. Teng Zhou was also respected by Sun Quan because he was good at writing. Unfortunately, both of them died in their early years. Teng Yin lost his father and uncle when he was 12 years old, and he was all alone, but he always insisted on his strict management.
In 221, Sun Quan was called queen Wu. Because of their kindness, tengyin was granted the title of Marquis of duting. Teng Yin is white and elegant, with extraordinary appearance. Every time Teng Yin went to the palace on the new year's day for a pilgrimage, the ministers in the court appreciated him greatly and were appreciated by many people at that time.
Sun Quan once asked Zhuge Ke, "how are you better than Teng yin?" Zhuge Ke jokingly replied: "in the Imperial Hall, with proper manners and good manners, I am not as good as Teng Yin. But when it comes to strategizing and winning, Teng Yin is not as good as Teng Yin."
Kuang Bi's Administration
When Teng Yin became an adult, he married the princess. Sun Quan attached great importance to Teng Yin, and even increased his reward to the princess and visited the couple several times. At the age of 30, Teng Yin served as the prefect of Danyang, and later as the prefect of Wujun and Kuaiji. Teng Yin often stated his policy ideas on the table, reflecting the pros and cons of the folk customs, and had a lot of support for national policies. But Teng Yin was not so complacent. The more favors he got, the higher his position, the more cautious and humble he was. Every time Teng Yin presided over the lawsuit and judged the crime, he observed the words and colors of the litigants to make sure that the judgment was reasonable. Therefore, the people will appeal to him whenever they have grievances and enjoy prestige everywhere they go.
In the first year of Huanglong (229), Sun Quan ascended the throne and proclaimed himself Emperor. Teng Yin was ordered to follow the old system of Zhou and Han Dynasties by Zhang Zhao, Sun Shao, Zheng Li, etc. After sun he was made the crown prince, sun Ba, the king of Lu, intended to fight for the crown prince, so the court officials and even the local bureaucrats gradually split into two groups supporting the crown prince or the king of Lu. Prime Minister Lu Xun, general Zhuge Ke, Taichang Gutan, Hushi General Zhu Ju, Kuaiji prefect Teng Yin, Dadu governor Shi Ji and Shangshu Ding Mi supported the crown prince sun he. Hushi general Bu Fu, Zhennan general Lu Dai, Da Sima quancong, Zuo general Lu Ju and Zhongshu Ling Sun Hong attached themselves to the Lu king sun ba. The two factions were in constant contention, which made Wu almost fall into political crisis.
To receive an imperial edict to assist the government
In the first year of the Taiyuan Dynasty (251), Emperor Wu was seriously ill and called Teng Yin to Jianye to stay as Taichang. In 252, Sun Quan died, and Teng Yin, together with zhugeke, the prince and the grand Fu, Sun Hong, the Shaofu, Lv Zheng, the general of dangwei, and Sun Jun, the Minister of state, received the imperial edict. After Sun Liang ascended the throne, Teng Yin was appointed general Wei. In the same year, when Cao Wei attacked Dongxing, Zhuge Ke and other leaders successfully repelled the invasion of Cao Wei. Since then, Zhuge Ke had the heart of belittling the enemy and began to plan to attack Cao Wei.
In the second year of Jianxing (253), zhugeke sent troops to the north of dafazhou county. The people were agitated and uneasy. Teng Yin admonished him: "when the former emperor died and the new king succeeded, you accepted the same heavy trust as Yi Yin and Huo Guang. If you enter, you will stabilize the country's government. If you leave, you will destroy the powerful foreign enemies. Your reputation will spread all over the country To depend on you for peace. Now, after Daxing's labor, the army is launched. The people are tired and the national strength is weak. The monarchs of distant countries are on guard. If they can't conquer the city and win nothing in the field, they will lose their previous achievements and incur future blame. It's better to rest the division according to the soldiers and wait for the opportunity. What's more, sending troops to fight is an important thing. It depends on the public to succeed. If they are not happy, do you have to be at ease alone? " Zhuge Ke said: "everyone said that we should not send troops, because they are carefree and muddle along, and you think they are right. What else can I expect? Because Cao Fang was stupid and incompetent, and his regime was controlled in the hands of his subjects, his subjects had been eccentric. Where can I not use my country's power to win
Since Teng Yin and Zhuge Ke were in the same family (Teng Yin's daughter married Zhuge song, Zhuge Ke's son), Zhuge Ke ordered Teng Yin to be the governor of the capital and take charge of all domestic affairs. Teng Yin worked hard day and night, and even didn't sleep all night. He personally reviewed all the books and never gave them to his subordinates. Later, Zhuge Ke lost the Northern Expedition and his reputation plummeted. In the winter of the same year, Sun Liang, the Lord of Wu, discussed with Sun Jun, the general of Wu Wei, to kill Zhuge Ke when he came to the palace. Sanqi often attends Zhang Yue, Zhu en and other secret books to Zhuge Ke, urging him to be on guard. Zhuge Ke hesitates and meets Teng Yin in front of the palace gate. Because Teng Yin didn't know Sun Jun's plan, he advised him to go to court. After Zhuge Ke showed Teng Yin the secret book, Teng Yin immediately advised him to go back to his house temporarily. Zhuge Ke thought that Sun Jun could only poison his food and drink at most, so he brought his own drink and was killed.
Working together as before
After zhugeke was killed, Sun Jun began dictatorship, and the officials elected Sun Jun as Taiwei and Teng Yin as situ. However, they intended to please Sun Jun's officials, saying that "the grand unification should be in the public family. If Teng Yin was a second Duke, he would be well-known and attached to the hearts of the people", which would split the government into two groups and oppose him. Finally, Sun Jun was promoted to prime minister, but Teng Yin was not appointed as the imperial historian. All the scholars were disappointed. Teng Yin also asked to resign on the ground that he was Zhuge Ke's in laws, but Sun Jun asked him to stay, and Teng Yin became the Marquis of Gaomi. Although their relationship is not harmonious in fact, they always show mutual tolerance and continue to work together. Later, Sun Jun wanted to defend Guangling on the border. The court officials thought it was difficult to build a city there, but they were afraid of Sun Jun and did not dare to admonish him. Teng Yin was the only one who objected, but Sun Jun didn't listen. In the end, the city was not built.
In the third year of Wufeng (256), Sun Jun died during the northern expedition to Cao Wei. His younger brother, sun GUI, a 26 year old partisan general, took control of the government. Originally, the ministers of Wu state were dissatisfied with Sun Jun's claim of power as a royal family and his many evils, so they did not want to see sun Ge, who was also a royal family, continue to monopolize the power of the imperial court. Lu Zheng, Teng Yin's Hussars general, contacted the generals of the Northern Expedition front and recommended Teng Yin as prime minister, hoping to divide sun's power and prevent him from monopolizing the dictatorship. However, Sun Yi appointed Teng Yin as the great Sima to take the place of Lu Dai who died recently to guard Wuchang. Lu Ju then led his army back and sent someone to inform Teng Yin to plot to overthrow Sun Yi. On the one hand, Sun Yi sent troops to attack Lu Ju, and on the other hand, he sent the left general Huarong, the posthumous servant of the Central Committee, and Ding Yan, the Prime Minister of the Central Committee, asked Teng Yin to set out immediately to capture Lu Ju. Seeing this, Teng Yin immediately defends himself and tells the Dian army Yang Chong and Yulin governor Sun Zi that it was Sun Ji who caused the disturbance. He forces Huarong and others to write a book to refute Sun Ji. Sun Yi said that Teng Yin rebelled and sent General Liu Cheng to encircle him. Teng Yin forced Huarong, Sunzi and others to send troops to help him, but Huarong and others were killed because they did not.
Be exterminated
Teng Yin thought that LV Ju would meet him on time, so he continued to wait, his face unchanged, and he talked and laughed as usual. At that time, Teng Yin was persuaded by his subordinates to lead troops to attack the canglongmen gate of the imperial palace. When the imperial guards saw Teng Yin, they were bound to leave Sun Yi and follow Teng Yin's instructions. Then Teng Yin could enter the Imperial Palace and issue an imperial edict to kill Sun Yi in the name of the emperor. However, Teng Yin did not dare to easily surround the palace, and relied on the support of LV according to the agreement, so he ordered his subordinates to continue to stick to it. Soon after, Lu was defeated and killed himself. Sun Yi assembled his army to attack tengyin. Ten of Teng Yin and other soldiers were defeated and killed. Later, Sun Yi ordered to destroy the three clans of Teng Yin and Lv. His wife and brother Sun Yi, a general of the town army, was stationed in Xiakou during the holiday. For fear of being implicated in the crime, he led more than 1000 people to flee to Caowei. After sun Xiu ascended the throne and killed Sun Yi, he issued an imperial edict, saying: "ZHUGE Ke, Teng Yin and Lu Zheng were originally innocent, but were brutalized by Sun Jun and Sun Yi brothers. I feel sad for this, and hope that they can all be buried and sacrificed. Those who are exiled because of them can come back. " The tengyin family was rehabilitated.
Historical evaluation
Zhuge Ke said, "if you climb the stairs and walk quietly, you will not be as good as Yin; if you make a change, you will not be as good as Yin."
Sun Xiu: "ZHUGE Ke, Teng Yin and Lu jugai regarded innocence as Jun's, and the cruelty seen by the brothers can be regarded as grief. They urged all of them to be buried, and each of them was a memorial ceremony."
Chen Shou: "Teng Yin is a strict monk and abides by the rules, but Sun Jun's time is still precious. He must be in danger."
Wei Zhao: "Yin Chong Ren Mi Gao, the more diligent he was when he received the scholars, the less books he played. They were all attentive, not appointed."
Pei Songzhi: "although Sun Yi is cruel, he has no quarrel with Teng Yin. If Yin follows his will and goes out of Wuchang, he will not only avoid the disaster at that time, but will still protect Yuanji forever. He will commit the crime, destroy himself and mourn his husband!"
