Qian Jie
Qian Jie, male, born in May 1956, doctor, Professor, Department of philosophy, Sun Yat sen University. He studied chemistry in Anqing Normal University. Because of his love of philosophy, he graduated from South China Normal University as a graduate student of philosophy of science and Technology (then called "Dialectics of nature"). He obtained a master's degree and stayed in school to teach. In 1990, he studied Kant's epistemology under the influence of Jules Vuillemin, a professor of French Academy. After returning to China in 1996, he continued to teach in South China Normal University. In 1999, he visited Boston College with the support of China program. In 2002, he became a professor and doctoral supervisor of Philosophy Department of Nankai University. In the same year, he went to France again to study Descartes' general mathematics at Paris Sorbonne University. Supported by Piaget foundation, he studied genetic epistemology at the University of Geneva in 2004. He has been teaching in Philosophy Department of Sun Yat sen University since November 2007.
