Xia Chuan
Xia Chuan (1918-2005), formerly known as Lu Zhenhua and Lu Xiangchen, had a pen name of Bai Yan. He is from Pingshan, Hebei Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. He was admitted to Peking journalism college in 1935 and is a member of China Writers Association.

Peiping news Beike school. In 1936, he joined the vanguard of the Chinese nation. The next year, he joined the Shanxi youth anti enemy death squads. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1939. He once served as the chief of the propaganda section of the Hebei Luyu military region, the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the military region, and the director of the Propaganda Department of the Fifth Corps. Participated in Longhai, giant goldfish, Huaihai and other campaigns. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he successively served as the Minister of propaganda and culture of the Tibet Military Region, deputy director of Bayi film studio, deputy political commissar of the Tibet Military Region, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Region Committee, and vice chairman of the third CPPCC of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
