thought
Be a star supporter in the literary world
New people and new works. "The visionary and leaders of the literature and art department will never be limited to only a few famous writers. Their visionary vision focuses more on the vigorous growth of the young generation with certain potential and gives more trust, care, support and help to the literary youth. It is of strategic significance for them to do so." When Qin Zhaoyang was editor in chief of contemporary, he publicly announced that new works would be published in each issue, and he was also an active practitioner of this slogan. With his efforts, there are many bright stars in the history of Chinese contemporary literature.
Lu Yao's first novella, a thrilling scene, was sent to almost all the large-scale literary journals in China at that time in two years, but all the manuscripts were rejected and finally sent to contemporary. To his surprise, he soon received a long letter from Qin Zhaoyang, the editor in chief of contemporary, warmly affirming the manuscript. Under the guidance of Qin Zhaoyang, Lu Yao revised the novel and finally published it. With Qin's efforts, he won the first National Award for novella. The excellent works of contemporary writers discovered and cultivated by Qin Zhaoyang can also be listed, such as malaqinfu's first work people of Horqin grassland, sun Junqing's and Bai HUAFA's first novel in people's literature, and Wang Meng's new young people in Organization Department.
Respect the rights and interests of authors
Carefully revise the manuscript. As a "gatekeeper", an important duty is to process and modify the author's manuscripts. Qin Zhaoyang's careful attitude and rigorous style to process and modify manuscripts are generally unparalleled, and he always put the respect for the rights and interests of the author first. When he modifies a manuscript, he is often willing to spend time talking with the author face to face and giving specific guidance. He can't face to face, or he often replies to letters from foreign authors asking about something in person. In an article written by Ye Wenling in memory of Mr. Qin, there is such a record: "in ten or eight years' time, I will never forget Mr. Zhaoyang's comments at the end of the manuscript of Xin Xiang, and the revision opinions you asked Comrade Zhu Shengchang to kindly convey, that is, Fuye where you devoted your blood. Xin Xiang finally came out and won the praise of the literary world." When he compiled people's literature in the 1950s, a number of manuscripts were actually revised, otherwise they would not be able to be published.
The process of revision and publication of the novella "price" fully reflects the modest and noble character of a native who respects the author's rights and interests. After the publication of the price, Qin Zhaoyang wrote a long letter to Chen Guokai, the author, in which he explained in detail what he had changed. He also explained that due to the rush of publishing time, he did not have time to discuss with the author in advance when making changes and apologized. He said that if the author had different opinions on the changes, he could change them according to the author's opinions when publishing the booklet. When the third edition of the price has been completed and is about to go to press, Chen Guokai went to Beijing to attend a literature seminar. Qin Zhaoyang warmly invited him to come home to talk about the further revision of the price. Should we make a larger revision? Chen Guokai is quite concerned. Qin Zhaoyang insisted on revision, which showed his style and manner as a hometown.
Perception and experience of life
Integrate life into manuscript review. Qin Zhaoyang's tortuous and bumpy life determines that he has rich and profound life experience, which provides a good life foundation for him to review manuscripts. The final review process of Furong Town reflects the importance of real life experience in reviewing and choosing manuscripts. At that time, after listening to long Shihui's oral report, Qin Zhaoyang decided to publish Furong Town to the headlines of contemporary. Qin Zhaoyang made such a decision because he had participated in the land reform in the early days of liberation and had rich life experience. He could find the prototype of the content involved in his works from his own life experience. Qin Zhaoyang once said: "the key to appraisal is to have a life and understand creation. Long Shihui reported that Li Guoxiang talked with sister Furong to calculate how much money she made. I've seen this kind of life a lot. It's very true. I publish my works from life Like these, it's a matter of life experience. " It is in this sense that literary appraisal is essentially the appraisal of social life, and the meaning of discovering works lies in discovering life.
Take the manuscript seriously
Adhere to the principle of "seeking gold in sand". He is an important constructor of human culture. In the process of constructing human culture, he undertakes the task of disseminating excellent culture to readers. Therefore, he should be careful in treating every manuscript. He can't easily affirm it or deny it. He should ponder over the manuscript he intends to adopt. "Grinding hundreds of millions of words, how many joys and sorrows tears; Xiuyun editor crazy, I know the flavor." This is a true portrayal of Qin Zhaoyang's decades of work. He often forgets to go home and eat in order to edit manuscripts, and he never lets go of any manuscripts easily. Sometimes manuscripts that are easily ignored by others will become classics after his treatment. Xiao ping's novel snow in March was selected by Qin Zhaoyang from a stack of manuscripts after work. This novel was soon published in the eighth issue of people's literature, and was highly praised by readers. Qin Zhaoyang's "panning for gold in sand" and "bringing the dead back to life" have saved manuscripts and authors.

Biography
Childhood
Baiyang mountain is the largest mountain in Huilongshan town of Tuanfeng county. In 1916, Qin Zhaoyang, a famous writer and critic, was born in zaoshudian, a quiet little bay at the foot of the mountain.
The mountain wind in December is chilly. Looking at the undulating mountains of the vast pines, my mind suddenly came up with a poem by Qin Zhaoyang: "why does the towering tree need to be deeply rooted, in order to flourish its green life." However, when Qin Zhaoyang studied diligently in the arms of Baiyang mountain, he probably did not expect that his name would be engraved in the history of contemporary Chinese literature one day.
There is a small pond in the Bay, where cows are eating grass leisurely. I asked Zhang Chunhua, 70, about Qin Zhaoyang's former residence. It happened that she was Qin Zhaoyang's nephew and daughter-in-law. Zhang Chunhua pointed to the two-story building in Lintang and told me that Qin Zhaoyang's former residence was here. In the 1970s, the house nearly collapsed due to disrepair, so they had to tear it down and build the present building.
Qin Zhaoyang studied in his father's private school when he was a child. At the age of 12, he went to Hankou to study. In 1934, he was admitted to Wuchang rural normal school in Hubei Province. After graduation, he taught in Huangzhou Central Primary School and began to write poems and comics. In 1938, Qin Zhaoyang, a young man, bid farewell to his hometown and rushed to Yan'an, the holy land of revolution. In the following decades, Qin Zhaoyang came to Hubei several times. In 1985, he was homesick and came to the Han Dynasty to attend the Yellow Crane Tower pen meeting. He wrote a poem with emotion: "more than 40 years of wind and moon, eight thousand miles of clouds and smoke. When you come back, you'll see a big change in your hometown tonight. " But for various reasons, he only went back to jujube shop once in 1954. Zhang Chunhua still remembers that when Qin Zhaoyang entered the village that year, he took a two wheeled cart.
Zhang Chunhua knows something about Qin Zhaoyang's life story. His wife Qin Bocheng often talks about his uncle to her. However, in her opinion, there is not much celebrity light in her family: the family is still a little poor, her old wife is still carrying the shaving burden through the streets every day, and her son is farming at home. Zhang Chunhua said, "what's wrong with great writers? They didn't leave us anything!"
Youth
As a writer and critic, Qin Zhaoyang is poor in material. But in his 78 years of life, he left too much to be commented on.
——Qin Zhaoyang wrote many works in his life. His representative works include letter from his daughter, white sails, looking back on that year, on the field, march forward! 》A large number of novels and short stories, such as "the earth", as well as "on concept"
