Profile
He is from Meixian District, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. He is a famous figure painter in modern times. In 1917, he studied landscape and animal painting from jinbeilou, and later studied figure painting. He joined the Chinese Painting Research Association in 1923. In 1926, he participated in the establishment of the Hu society Painting Association and became the deputy director general. He has been a lecturer and professor of national Beiping art college, Jinghua Art College and Art Department of Furen University. After the 1950s, he was a professor in the Ceramic Department of the Central Academy of Arts and crafts. He was vice chairman of Beijing New Chinese Painting Research Association and executive director of Chinese Painting Research Association. He studied painting when he was young. He was diligent, intelligent and quick to learn. He is good at Chinese painting. He is a beginner of landscape and animals, especially of characters. In his early years, he painted many figures in ancient costume, with a clear and elegant style. His paintings have been exhibited in Japan, Europe and the United States for many times, and won gold medals at international expositions held in Belgium. It can also be used in the rhythm of poetry. There are six beautiful versions of outlaws of the marsh, such as Song Jiang Sha Xi, Yang Zhi's knife selling, Liang Shan Po's hero's row of seats, and single versions of white snake and clever daughter-in-law, Hebei art version of journey to the west, Tianjin art version of Qi Jiguang's fight against Japanese killing and so on, which are deeply loved and sought after by collectors.
