Emperor Huan did not allow it. Zhu Mu had a strong character and soon died of depression. Zhu Mu (99-163) was born in Wan County of Nanyang, Henan Province. At the end of Emperor Shun's reign, he was a general of Liang Ji's army. He specialized in military affairs, and later moved to serve the censor. Because of offending eunuch Zhao Zhong, he was put into prison, and thousands of Taixue students complained for him, so they were pardoned and released from prison. He lived in the family for many years and worshipped Shangshu again. In the sixth year of his life, Yanxi died at the age of 64. He was honest and upright. He lived in the market all his life. He had been an official for decades. After his death, his family had no money left. In the biography of Yuan Gong (yuan Keli) of jiehuan written by Huang Daozhou of the Ming Dynasty, it is said that "at that time, he was strict with the famous religion, if he no longer knew that there was something about Yanxi and Jianning."
