Ding Wenxiang
Ding Wenxiang, male, born in June 1929, is chief physician of cardiothoracic surgery of children's Medical Center affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. He started from scratch, explored the surgical treatment of congenital heart disease in infants and young children in China, led the Chinese pediatric cardiovascular discipline into the international advanced, and set many precedents for domestic pediatric cardiac surgery. It has set up a diagnosis and treatment center for children with congenital heart disease for more than 30 units in China, and built a large platform for pediatric cardiothoracic surgery. It is suggested that Shanghai Children's medical center be established to further undertake the mission of safeguarding the health of Chinese children. He was rated as "national advanced health worker" and "China's good doctor and China's good nurse" in February 2019.

Professor Ding has been engaged in clinical, scientific research and teaching of pediatric surgery for nearly 50 years. He is one of the founders of congenital heart disease surgery in infants and young children in China.
