Characters and deeds
In the Qin Dynasty, there was a man named Lu Gong in Dang county's single father (SH à NF à, Yin Shanfu) who had a good relationship with Peixian county magistrate. In order to avoid his enemies, he went to Peixian county magistrate and became a guest, so his family moved to Peixian county. When Peizhong's heroes and officials heard that the county magistrate had distinguished guests, they all went to congratulate them. At that time, Xiao He was a subordinate officer of the county magistrate, in charge of the collection of gifts. He said to the guests who gave gifts: "if you are not satisfied with the gifts, let him sit down in the hall." Liu Bang, the emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, was a pavilion leader at that time. He usually looked down on these officials, so he lied in the famous post that he "congratulated ten thousand yuan". In fact, he didn't bring any money with him. When the name card was handed in, Duke Lu was surprised to see Gaozu. He got up quickly and went to the door to meet him.
Lu Gong, a man who likes to meet people, looked up to Liu Bang when he saw his appearance. He took him to the hall and sat down. Xiao He said: "Liu Ji is always full of big talk and seldom does anything." Liu Bang took advantage of the opportunity to tease the guests, so he simply sat down on the table and was not humble at all. After drinking the wine, Duke Lu winked at Liu Bang and told him to stay. After Liu Bang finished drinking, he stayed behind. Lu Gong said: "I like to meet people since I was young. There are many people I have met. No one can match your Liu Ji's face. I hope you will cherish it. I have a daughter who is willing to be your wife and concubine. " When the banquet was over, Lu Yi, the wife of Duke Lu, was very angry with him and said, "at first, you always wanted to make your daughter stand out and betroth him to a noble man. Peixian county magistrate is close to you. If you want to marry this daughter, you don't agree. How can you marry Liu Ji casually? " Lu Gong said, "this is not what women understand." Finally married her daughter to Liu Ji. Lu Gong's daughter is empress Lu. She is a pheasant with the word "e" (x). Later, he gave birth to Emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty Liu Ying and Princess Luyuan.
Liu Bang had been working as a pavilion for a long time and often asked for leave to go home to the fields. Once, Lu pheasant and his children were weeding in the field. An old man passed by to ask for water. Lu pheasant asked him to drink water and gave him food. The old man gave LV Zhi a face-to-face talk and said, "madam, you are really the most important person in the world." Lu Zhi asked him to meet the two children again. He met emperor Huidi of Han Dynasty and said, "madam, it's because of this boy that she is so distinguished." He also gave Princess Lu Yuan a face to face, which was also a face of wealth. After the old man left, Liu Bang happened to come from the nearby house. LV Zhi told Gaozu about the old man who had just passed by and showed them a picture, saying that their mother and son were rich and noble. When Liu Bang asked where the man was, LV Zhi said, "it's not far away." So Liu Bang went to catch up with the old man and asked him about what happened just now. The old man said, "just now, I saw that your wife and children's faces are very similar to you. Your face is so precious." Liu Bang then said, "if I really like what the old man said, I will never forget your kindness." When Liu Bang was a dignitary, he couldn't find the old man's place.
In the first year of the Han Dynasty (206 BC), Liu Bang was called the king of the Han Dynasty, and LV Gong was granted the title of Linsi marquis.
