Zhou Daxin (1952 -), contemporary writer, pen name Pudu, male, born in 1952, Han nationality, was born in Dengzhou, Henan Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from Xi'an PLA Political College in 1985. Enlisted in the army in 1970, he successively served as a soldier, monitor, platoon leader, deputy instructor and Secretary of Jinan Military Region, director of the creation Office of the Political Department of the General Logistics Department, professional writer, first grade literary creation and major general. Director of the Judging Committee of senior titles in the literary circles of the whole army, member of the fifth and sixth national committees of the Chinese Writers Association. Published in 1979. He joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1987.

He has won the seventh Mao Dun Literature Award, the third people's literature award, the national excellent short story award, the Feng Mu literature award, and the Nanding literature award. Some works have been translated into English, French, German, Korean and Czech. Many of his works have been adapted into drama, film and TV series. On September 23, 2019, Zhou Daxin's novel the scenery of lakes and mountains was selected into the "collection of 70 novels in 70 years of new China".
