He studied under professors Wei Tianlin, Zhang Anzhi, Wu Guanzhong and Wang Xuetao. In 1957, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Beijing Normal University. Now he is a professor of Shandong Academy of Arts, a member of Chinese Artists Association, a senior painter of Shandong Academy of painting, Deputy Secretary General of Shandong Watercolor Painting Association, vice chairman of Shandong Women Artists Association and Jinan Calligrapher Association He is a member of the Chinese Calligrapher Association and an influential female calligrapher.
