MRI is responsible for the design and development of the desert eagle pistol. For some time, the pistol was made by Israeli military industry until 1995, when the production contract and license were transferred to Sakar defense in Sakar, Maine. In 2000, MRI moved manufacturing back to IMI, which restructured under the name of Israel arms industries. Since 2009, the "Pillager" pistol production facility in Minnesota has been only the largest in the United States. SACO and IMI / iwi are strict manufacturing contractors: all intellectual property rights of Desert Eagle since its inception, including patents, copyrights and trademarks, are the property of Magnum research.
Magnum research imported IMI / iwi Jericho 941 series pistols in the name of "baby hawk" until the end of 2008, and resumed importing this type of pistol in the name of "baby hawk II" in 2011. At present, the name baby eagle is used in a series of new shooting polymer frame pistols. For a while, they also imported Ballack sp-21 pistols, but no longer provided them. Other products include BFR series single acting large pistols, left-handed guns, hawk rifles, magnum Lite rifles and microdeserteagle.
MRI offers customized gun services and has a range of guns coated in art patterns and designs with titanium nitride.
Famous works
The magnum Falcon was designed as a target gun and hunting pistol. The first prototype gun was completed in 1981 and announced in 1982, which caused a lot of repercussions at that time. The huge power and beautiful appearance of this 357 magnum caliber semi-automatic pistol aroused the great interest of many shooters. Then magnum needed to find a big company to produce the pistol, and soon found IMI.
In a word, this kind of pistol began to be produced and sold in 1983 in the form of "Desert Hawk" produced by IMI. However, it was not until 1985 that the. 357 caliber Desert Hawk officially appeared on the sales shelves of American pistol market. In pursuit of greater power than the 357 magnum, the. 41 magnum was launched in 1987, followed by the. 44 magnum, the. 50AE calibre in 1994 and the. 440 cor Bon calibre in 1998.
Desert eagle's polygonal barrel is precision forged. The standard gun is 6 inches long (152.4mm), and there are also 10 inches long (254MM) barrel for selection. As the gun barrel is fixed, and a sight mounting guide is arranged on the top, various kinds of sight can be conveniently added. There are safety handles on both sides of the sleeve, which are operated by left and right hands. The magazine is of single row type, and the ammunition capacity of different caliber models is different. The handlebars are made of hard rubber, but other handlebars can be specially made in magnum.
Compared with other automatic pistols, Desert Hawk's biggest characteristic is that it adopts the air guiding unlocking principle and the rotary locking of the gun. This is because the magnum revolver bullet fired by Desert Hawk is too powerful, and the rigid locking principle used by ordinary high-power automatic pistols can not be accepted at all.
