Early experience

In 1976, Zhang Zhengyong was born into a military family. His father was a soldier and his mother was a teacher. He grew up in the Navy compound in Beijing. Later, because of his father's job transfer, he followed his family from Beijing to live and go to school in Hainan, Guangzhou and other places. As a young man, he was very naughty, so he was often kept at home by his mother. When he was alone, he always felt lonely. In order to pass the time, he simply picked up the brush and began to draw.

In 1993, 16-year-old Zhang Zhengyong was admitted to the high school affiliated to Guangzhou Academy of fine arts to study oil painting. At the same time, he became addicted to martial arts. Every winter and summer, he would go to the second international Sanda Team of Shaolin Temple to learn martial arts. During his martial arts practice, he got acquainted with Shaolin eminent monks and became the 32nd generation layman disciple of Shaolin temple under shidenin's door. His name was "shixinghan".

In 1995, 18-year-old Zhang Zhengyong won the 75kg Sanda national champion at the Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Museum in Songshan, Henan Province and the Shaolin international martial arts festival in Zhengzhou.

In 1997, Zhang Zhengyong faced the choice of college entrance examination. As a result of his strong interest in performance during his study in the high school attached to the Academy of fine arts, he also applied for the performance department and Fine Arts Department of Beijing Film Academy, the performance Department of Shanghai Academy of drama and the oil painting department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts. Although the majors of the three universities have all passed the three examinations, what Zhang Zhengyong most wants to attend is the performance Department of Beijing Film Academy. Just when he was looking forward to it, Beijing Film Academy sent him the admission notice for the culture course of the fine arts department. It turned out that Zhang Zhengyong had won the first place in the professional course examination of the fine arts department in China, and he could only miss the performance department. In the end, he chose Guangzhou Academy of fine arts and became a top student of Guangmei oil painting department, learning from Xie Chuyu, a famous oil painter. During his stay in the Academy of fine arts, his art works have been exhibited in the Academy for many times, and many of them have been privately collected by overseas collectors. Nevertheless, the dream of being an actor is always lingering in his heart.

Acting experience

In 2000, Zhang Zhengyong was still studying in the oil painting department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts. During his schooling, he was selected to participate in the ancient costume drama "youth Bao Qingtian", in which he played the head hunter of the six gates in the capital, Li Xiaodao, in the "dragon plunder" unit. Since then, he has set foot in the performing arts circle. In 2001, he participated in the 9th New Silk Road Chinese model competition and won the top ten male models in South China.

In 2003, he worked with Zhang Ziyi to shoot the mobile advertisement of "southern high tech", which won the "Best Creativity Award in Asia". Later, because of Zhang Ziyi's recommendation, she took part in the movie "ambush on all sides" directed by Zhang Yimou, playing eight teams of warriors; in the same year, she took part in the costume drama "biography of heroes of Sui and Tang Dynasties", playing the villain Yuwen Chengdu. In 2004, he took part in the ancient costume drama "the hero of the divine eagle" and played nimoxing, a master of the kingdom of India; in the same year, he played Liu Taisheng, a magic gun in white, in the Anti Japanese war drama "the armed forces behind the enemy", which won the third prize of the whole army TV series "Venus Award".

In 2005, he participated in the first Mr. Asia Hong Kong election and won the single award of "best hair". In the same year, he took part in the contemporary military theme comedy wolf smoke rises again, playing volunteer Liu Tieshan. In 2006, he took part in the war drama "mandao of Xiongguan" and played Zhou Chang, leader of the Red Army Radio team. In 2010, he took part in the Anti Japanese War theme TV series "little flying tigers" and played Liu Hong, the leader of the Flying Tigers. The play won the 12th Five one project award, the third prize of the 29th China TV series flying sky Award for children's TV series, and the 26th China TV Golden Eagle Award for best TV series nomination.

In 2011, he starred in the digital micro film Yinyue and played the musician Alex. In March of the same year, he starred in the legendary drama Hankou wharf, playing the docker Heipi; in November, he starred in the movie little flying tigers, playing the captain of the Flying Tigers Liu Hong. In 2012, he played in the war drama "sword of thunder" and played Wang Baocai, a soldier of the New Fourth Army. In April of the same year, he guest starred in the Anti Japanese war drama "Canglang", playing the Kuomintang General Huang Weigang; in September, he appeared in the Anti Japanese War suspense drama "going through customs", playing the KMT camp camel.

Zhang Zhengyong was admitted to the attached middle school of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, and was admitted to the oil painting department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts with excellent results in the college entrance examination in 1997. During his stay in the Academy of fine arts, he participated in many exhibitions and stayed in school. Many of his works were collected by overseas collectors and graduated in 2002. In 2013, the oil paintings "Wannian" and "xiaxiaer" were exhibited in 798 Yueyue Art Museum in Beijing.
