Chang Pei Cheng, a film director, was born on January 20, 1941. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts (now the Taiwan University of Arts) in 1964.

In 1964, Zhang Peicheng graduated from the National College of Arts (now the Taiwan University of Arts) in fine arts and printing. In the same year, he joined the Guolian company headed by Li Hanxiang as an art designer. Three years later, with his own experience and enthusiasm, he began to try directing. The second director's work "the little flower of tears" is very popular, so it is valued by the film industry.
He won the Golden Horse Award for best director for "wolf tooth mouth" commissioned by China Film Corporation, and Zhang Peicheng became a popular director. In addition to making films for China film, he has also made films for other independent companies. He likes to look for new themes to play, and can get a good response in the market. Later, he set up Zhongyu company to shoot films such as "countryman" and "little fugitive".
