Acting experience
After graduating from University, LAN Yibang recommended himself as a singer in a record company. Unfortunately, there were too many idol singers at that time and they were ignored. Later, he went to Japan for further study. He worked as a staff member of a public relations company and a customer service director of an advertising company. At the same time, he wrote music part-time. He also performed on the piano at the fringe, harbour city, Times Square and other places every weekend. He was awarded the title of "Prince of piano in harbour city".
In 2001, he signed a contract with Sony Music (later merged with bodeman group and renamed Sony BMG in November 2004) to become a part-time composer and lyricist. He has composed and composed music for popular singers such as Jacky Cheung, Yilian Lin, Eason Chan, Yang Qianyi, and Joey Yung, with more than 100 works so far.
In 2003, because of the economic downturn, the company he worked for laid off workers. At that time, he often asked for leave to take part in the stage play "Happy Prince" and was dismissed. However, his theme song "Happy Prince" of the same name in the stage play "Happy Prince" was widely spread on the Internet and attracted the attention of other record companies. For the first time, Sony BMG successfully sold his lyrics to other singers. In return for Sony BMG, LAN Yibang officially became a singer in Hong Kong. Finally, in 2004, he released his first CD "don't be loved by others", which is composed of all songs by himself.
In April 2008, he switched to East Asia records from Sony BMG, and released his first Taiwan song after joining "it's too early.".
In 2010, he participated in the judgment of the TV station's music competition program "super megavoice", which made people know it again.
The music style of the first two albums "don't be loved by everyone" and "just want to be happy" is also based on the original sound; the arrangement is simple, and most of them are only accompanied by piano and guitar.
The third album "chaosao" introduces electronic elements.
In terms of lyrics, LAN Yibang has always advocated that singers also have social responsibility, so lyrics mainly reflect the current situation and problems of society, as well as some of his own lyrics, such as self knowledge.
After LAN Yibang became a part-time composer and lyricist in 2001, he wrote the song "the voice of the stairs" for the music superstar Zhang Xueyou, which made him famous. Later, the song "good health" (Zhang Weijian's lead singer) composed by him was also a popular work.
Later, he participated in more music work, including the creation of theme music for TV series "race against the clock", theme music for TV game program "hundred methods and hundred people" and theme song for film "sister-in-law".
In 2004, he won the recognition of Andy Lau and invited him to create "common saying". With this song and "open your eyes" in 2006, LAN Yibang won many music awards for Andy Lau. In 2006, he was named by Andy Lau as the producer of the annual album sound. In the same year, he also participated in the supervision of songs such as Mr. pig by Xu Zhian and jazzmix by Yung Zuer.
After 2010, LAN Yibang paid more attention to the creation of lyrics. His lyrics for Yang qiangu, Dou Ling Fu, was ranked in the last five of the best lyrics at the 2010 cash Golden Sail Music Award.
In June 2014, LAN Yibang signed a contract with its new owner, global xinyibao
