Zhu Yi, formerly known as Li Dechun, is a native of Hanyang, Hubei Province. He was born in today's Caidian District of Wuhan city. He was admitted to Guangdong Public Medical University in 1922. Before graduation, he was expelled from the University for opposing the warlord Chen Jiongming. In 1926, he served as the leader of the health team of the Xiang army training regiment of the National Revolutionary Army and the president of the Military Medical Hospital of the 14th army, and participated in the northern expedition. After Chiang Kai Shek launched the "April 12" counter revolutionary coup, he left the army. In 1928, he went to Meiji University to study politics and economy. In 1931, he abandoned his studies and returned to China to resist Japan.
Revolutionary experience
In 1938, Zhu Yi served as the county magistrate of Xinyang County, Henan Province, in Cheng Qian Fangdi, commander of the Kuomintang's first war zone. Under Liu Shaoqi's personal responsibility, Zhu Yi contacted the Communist Party of China and insisted on fighting against the Japanese army. At that time, he brought more than 2000 troops, guns, large amounts of money, grain and materials from this county to the New Fourth Army, which became an important foundation for the fifth division of the New Fourth Army established by Li Xiannian. In April 1939, he joined the Communist Party of China and served as the director of the New Fourth Army training team in the same year. After 1940, he successively held the posts of minister of Finance and economy directly under the military headquarters of the New Fourth Army, director of Finance and economics of Central Jiangsu administrative office, director of the second department, Minister of finance of Finance Committee of East China Bureau, deputy director and Deputy Secretary of Finance Committee, and manager of Shandong mining company. In March 1947, Chen Yi instructed the head of Organization Department of East China Bureau to send Zhu Yi to lead a group of cadres to Dalian to prepare for the establishment of an organization ammunition production base, and set up the working committee of Finance Committee of East China Bureau in Dalian, which unified the leadership of the institutions established in Dalian by various regions of East China, and served as the Secretary of the Working Committee (members of the Working Committee include Li Zhuping, Cao Lu, Zhou Jialin, Zhu Hongsheng, etc.) The unification of the dispatched units, the reorganization and matching of some factories in Dalian have done fruitful organizational work for the establishment of Jianxin company. On July 1, 1947, Zhu Yi was appointed manager of Jianxin company. It rapidly expanded the production capacity of shells, ensured the demand for shells and other ordnance materials at the front line of the war of liberation, and made outstanding contributions to the war of liberation. in 1948, military production entered a climax. Han Guang, Secretary of the municipal Party committee, personally served as secretary of the military production committee, and Zhu Yi served as a member of the Committee. In the autumn of 1948, the Central Military Commission ordered Jianxin company to be under the leadership of the Military Commission and entrusted the Military Industry Department of the Northeast military region to act as its deputy.
Working experience
In March 1949, in order to strengthen the team of technical cadres, Jianxin company formally established the Jianxin staff research institute according to the instructions of the higher authorities. Zhu Yi served as the president of the Institute to strengthen the political, technical and cultural training of the staff. In July of the same year, Zhu Yi was transferred to work in central and southern China. He led 108 people from Jianxin company to Wuhan to set up the Ministry of heavy industry of central and southern China military and political Commission, and served as the Minister of the Ministry. After the founding of new China, he successively served as the president of Zhongnan Ordnance Engineering School (now Wuhan shipbuilding vocational and Technical College), Vice Minister of Zhongnan Ministry of industry, director of machinery bureau of local Ministry of industry, deputy leader of heavy industry group of Central Finance Commission, Assistant Minister of three Machinery Department, deputy director of Counselor's office of the State Council, etc. Zhu Yi died in 1977 at the age of 79.
