Hu Mei with its domineering, sharp, delicate brushwork to shape a vivid image, creating a climax of ratings. In the man's world, she gallops freely. In the man's world, she is the queen who makes all men admire. In the man's world, her gentleness has become the most lethal weapon. (Phoenix Online Review)
Hu Mei is just like her TV play, which is small and long, but not strong. Understanding how she changed her style from a female film director 20 years ago, as well as the ideals and imagination she gave her works, we can understand how the "first sister" of this TV series came into being. (Phoenix Online Review)
Hu Mei is one of the few outstanding female directors in China. The pursuit of personalized audio-visual language, unique perspective and leisurely narrative style makes her wander between art and reality. (Tencent online review)
In her plays, men are domineering, whether they are Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty or Yongzheng. In her plays, men are gentle, whether they are dealing with women's feelings, brothers and family relationships. In her plays, men are intelligent, commanding battles or market struggles. In her plays, men are fragile, will shed tears, will collapse, and will turn white in an instant. (Sohu Entertainment review)
In her play, the man is always the protagonist, and the beauty is the green leaf, but she portrays every woman around the man in a perfect way. Hu Mei's choice of beauties in her plays is meticulous. Her beauties will never be popular, but they will have Jiang Qinqin's soft outside and hard inside. (Zhuzhou news online review)
